More than anything else, what you can expect from us at Hometown Hemp is honesty. Unlike many CBD product suppliers, including some of the largest in the industry, we refuse to make inaccurate statements and false claims just to further our brand. 

If you’ve reviewed our Awareness section, you should know that the 2018 Farm Bill specified the laws and regulations governing the legal cultivation of hemp, as well as hemp-extracted products like CBD oils. The law dictates that hemp, and the full-spectrum oils derived from it, can have a maximum THC(tetrahydocannabinol) content of 0.3%. THC is the psychoactive compound found in marijuana that, in larger doses, results in a “high” experienced by the user. 

Depending on the strain, the typical marijuana plant ranges anywhere from 10% to 30% THC concentrations. The 0.3% concentration of THC in legal hemp and full-spectrum extracted products isn’t significant enough to get you “high”. What that low concentration does do is allow you to benefit from the distinct therapeutic benefits that low doses of THC provide. 

While the low amount of THC found in full-spectrum (also known as whole-plant) extracts isn’t enough to cause psychoactive effects, it is significant enough to result in a positive drug test.

With that being said, we are happy to share relevant findings from ongoing scientific studies, and discuss the success stories that we hear from our customers on a daily basis.
